Latvian AI Olympiad 2026
Latvia’s AI Olympiad brings together students who want not only to use artificial intelligence, but to understand and build it. Take part for the chance to represent Latvia at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence in Singapore!
Olympiad 2027
Registration will open soon, together with the announcement of the exact dates.
The Olympiad will have two rounds:
- Online qualification round in February, lasting one month.
- On-site final in Riga in March.
Online-round tasks will be available throughout the month—solve them at your own pace.
The Olympiad will feature artificial intelligence, mathematics, and programming problems. You can start without prior AI knowledge—we will provide all the materials you need to get started.
Participation. Free and open to students in every grade.
After the final, the team will begin intensive preparation. In July, four students will represent Latvia at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2027) in Singapore.
2026 Cycle
In 2026, we built Latvia’s first-ever AI Olympiad from scratch. That did not stop us.
We ran the Olympiad, formed the national team, delivered intensive training, and won silver and bronze in our first season at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI).
We were happy to join Tenerife AI Camp, organized by Harbour.Space, where Latvia’s team trained for two weeks alongside more than 100 young people from different countries and world-class coaches.

Goal.
AI is one of the most important inventions of the 21st century. Its influence on work, education, and daily life is already substantial and will continue to grow.
This makes it crucially important to promote AI education, especially among the young generation. We aim to spark curiosity, develop analytical thinking, and open doors to a field that will define the next era of innovation.
